Your Rights: Unionize Without Fear

You have the right to learn about the union and make your own decision safely and without pressure. At New Flyer, management has chosen to take the high road and signed a legally binding neutrality agreement with IUE-CWA. That means they can’t punish you, threaten you, or interfere with your choice. Federal law also protects your right to organize.

What Neutrality Means for You

  • No retaliation: You cannot be disciplined, harassed, or lose your job for learning about or supporting the union.

  • No pressure from management: Supervisors are not allowed to talk you out of joining or discourage you “off the record.”

  • Accountability: If neutrality is violated in any way, a neutral third-party steps in to enforce the agreement.

  • Legal Protection: Federal law already guarantees your right to organize. Neutrality adds an extra layer of protection, ensuring the company keeps its word.

Why This Is Different

In many workplaces, workers face intimidation and fear when they try to organize. At New Flyer, this agreement protects you. The decision belongs to you and your coworkers, not management.

How We Officially Form a Union

New Flyer has agreed to a very simple process. Once a majority of workers sign union cards, a neutral third party will verify the signatures and confirm they are eligible employees. If the majority is confirmed, New Flyer will immediately recognize the union — no drawn-out election, no interference.

Taking the First Step

Filling out the intake form on this site is not the same as signing a union card. It’s simply a safe way to connect with an organizer, ask questions, and get confidential information. No one at the company sees your form.
